Who we are
What we collect
- Account: email, display name, and password hash when you sign up.
- Newsletter signups: email and (optionally) your name.
- Enquiries: name, email, group size, occasion and message when you book or ask about a tasting or event.
- Feedback: the message you send us, plus lightweight technical metadata (page you were on, browser user-agent) to help us reproduce issues.
- Member content: your Wine Journal entries, tasting notes and learning progress.
- Cookies: as described in The Cookie List.
Why we use it, and on what lawful basis
- Contract — to run your account, deliver tastings you book, and provide the members' area.
- Consent — for the newsletter and for non-essential analytics cookies. You can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product from feedback (balanced against your privacy).
Who processes it for us
We use trusted infrastructure providers to host the site, database, storage and email. They act as processors on our behalf and are bound to keep your data confidential. Wine sales are fulfilled by our licensed merchant partner under their own privacy notice — we don't pass account data to them when you click a buy link.
How long we keep it
Account data lives for as long as your account does. Newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Enquiries and feedback are kept up to 2 years to answer follow-ups and improve. Anonymised analytics up to 13 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy (portability), object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we'll respond within one month.
Complaints

This is an 18+ site. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
